stethoscope or screw driver assisted hearing trick suggested earlier wouldn't be a bad idea,

might be a clatter from the valvetrain?

Last video is car running, SC belt off.

I will get underneath the car and check the flex plate. Anything I can be looking for or at as well while I am out there?

OK, it's not the supercharger (and I feel at this point I should start a different thread for my issue, as is protocol on the forums for my other cars, but I won't at this point). I am 99.9% sure the main nasty sound is indeed the flexplate rubbing against the bell housing, as was posited earlier by a replier, and can be seem and heard here:

It's much easier to make sense of the sound when you can see what's causing it! Also, when the plate is not in motion, you can see light scuffing where it has been rubbing the bell housing while in motion. My question now is, how do I move this flexplate slowly so I can examine the bolts? Is it possible? I am only using the inspection hole right now and have been kicking the start for a split second at a time to move the plate, but there has to be a better way, no?
Thanks!

Best way is to get a large socket and breaker bar on the crankshaft pulley bolt. Only turn the crank clockwise as seen from the front!

Ah, like turning the engine to do the valves on an old 911 engine.
Got it.

Glad you found it!! A flex plate is not that expensive but it will cost to install it.

Hopefully you can post a picture of the damaged flex plate.

KW, I can rename the thread if you like. May be something like "broken flex plate sounds like broken supercharger".

Glad to see that your vehicle is somewhat cheap fix.

Can you rename it? That would be great, because I am about to post another video that will definitely make sense of the whole problem.

So, haha, anyone know the exact specs for the bolts used on the flexplates in an STR? I need one, or maybe more. As you can see in the video, we are beyond "finger tight" bolts--the damn thing is GONE! I checked the torque on one bolt, then turned the engine til I got to the next one--this one--and my heart sank a little. It's completely gone. But I don't understand how. There's no evidence of it sheering against the bell housing, which I would imagine would have had to happen as it backed out of the hole. But it also doesn't look like there's enough clearance for the bolt to have backed out and fallen into the bell housing. Am I wrong? Anyone have any theories? How many bolts are around the circumference of the flex plate? You can clearly see the wear on the FP where it's been rubbing the bell housing directly above where the bolt is missing.
