Default Hello, S-type R wheels on the regular S-type
Hello everyone, this is my first post here.

My name is Artur, I am from Long Beach CA. I was wondering if theS-type R 18" Vulcan wheels fit the regular non-R Jaguar S-type? I tried to some search and didn't find much information on that topic.

Yes it's the same car.. if the same year. not sure if it will have enough clearance on a 2000 stype..

why is the 2000 s-type have so much less clearense. was the car made lower with smaller wheel wells??? my 2000 dont seem to be able to fit 20's either. was wondering if that was how the car is made?

I am concerned about the rear 18x9.5s. Are the regular S-type and the S-type R rear suspensions the same, well offset wise?

S-type easily takes 20s, they have to be 20x8.5 and with a 40+ offset, you will need 245/35/20 tires.

I looked at a S-type R today and the rear suspension looks a little different. I have to wait till I get the wheels to try em on.

Anybody else has any ideas?

Anyway, if anybody wondered, then they do fit with no problems.

The r comes with a suspension called cats or computer activated technology system. It adjusts as your driving and speed changes...There shouldn't be too much of a problem with adding s-type r wheels...

I installed a set of S-type R 18" Vulcan wheels on my previous 2002 Jaguar 3.0 Sport. No problems at all.

So if those wheels fit an 02 they should fit an '00 also right? What size are the vulcan wheels? Are they a staggered wheel set?

Yes, they should fit a 2000. The wheels are staggered. 18x8 at the front with 245/40/18 and 18x9.5 at the rear with 275/35/18.
