i have a 2005 s type r with 64540 miles, and when i come to a full stop. it kinda feels like its in gear and releases but with a heavy jerk. even worse when i come to a roleling stop, and there is also a heavy jerk. this doesnt happen everytime. i also took it on the freeway last night at 70 mph i floored the accelerator, notice a heavy kick down. maybe its me but when your going hwy speed, shouldnt the kick down be a little smoother.also there is no slippage of the trans. still feeling that wonderfu power. from what i read on this forum it might br the torque convertor. any help would be great

 

If you are new to the STR then search on the internet for "The Lurch". Has your car had the software updated? Then search this forum for the lurch. Much information!! Does not sound like the Torque converter. That problem is for the early STR's mainly the 2003 models. Your 2005 has most of the bugs worked out!
