Unhappy HELP!!!! Electrical problem possibly linked to alarm?!?!?!

Ok after taking care of the linkage problem with my 2000 V8 S-type, I was finally able to put it back in gear and drive. Turned the car off started looking at the sunroof....tried to turn the car back on about 20 mins later and it wouldn't turn over. The dash lights, the headlights and ac were all on and working fine, but the stereo wouldn't turn on and the seats wouldn't adjust but, the little alarm light (red flashing light on dashboard) was still on. The car will click and that's about it. After a few minutes of sitting tried it again but still samething occured except this time the headlights wouldn't come on but when the key was out of the ignition the car was chiming like it does when u leave the lights on in the car. Then the clicker wouldn't work, so everything had to b done manually.

Ok I've run into this issue b4 and the car eventually starts up after it sits for a while or it'll start up rt away after like 3 tries but the alarm light will still continue to flash as if the alarm is set. Any insight or ideas or advice ID appreciate it thanks!

Not to be overly simplistic, but have you checked the battery? Things slowly going out sounds like a bad battery to me.
