Help identify a hose please!
Hi everybody,
I have 2003 Jaguar S-Type with a 4.2 V8. I recently changed a cracked thermostat housing and in the process broke the plastic host that connects between the Mass Airflow and the passenger side valve cover. Can someone tell me what that hose is called or provide a part# so I can replace it? I taped it temporarily but I'm now getting MAP faults and suspect this broken hose may be the problem. Thank you very much for your help!

Possibly the "camshaft vent tube", contact Nalley Jaguar, they are a forum sponser and will fix you right up.
PS make sure you tell them you a jaguarforums member and you will receive a discount!

Thanks for the replies! I think this is more like a PCV hose. It connects between a round valve looking part on top of the passenger side valve cover and the mass airflow. It was made out of a rigid plastic. I'm getting MAP faults and the 'Restricted Performance' indicator light. Thought maybe my tape repair wasn't holding and causing the MAP faults.
Is Nalley Jaguar in Atlanta?
Thanks again!

Thanks everybody for your input! I also want to give a big thanks to Dan Wicker at Nalley Jaguar in Atlanta. He was able to identify the part and even shipped them to my house in Indiana for a discounted price.
Now I just need to install it this weekend and see if my MAP fault goes away.
Thanks again!

how old are the tires? i have a similar issue with my XJ that had flat spotted wheels....got new wheels and still had vibration...did all the balancing, everything checks out....finally did roadforce balancing and found that the (brand new) tires were measuring higher than normal. something to consider
