Well my keyless entry all of a sudden stopped working. I thought it was the battery but after I change, I got no love........ any ideas?

 

You getting any chirps at all?

 

no joy on the trunk/boot release either?

 

no nothing at all

 

bettery is on correctly and the lil terminals are touching I cleaned the buttons with alcohol because it had some green grime in there, small, but enough to bother me.

 

Its jealous...waiting for new LEDs inside.

Did you try your backup remote? Trying to see if it is the remote or your car 'hearing' it.

 

Actually I only received one remote when I got the car and a worthless valet key that has never worked.

 

need new remotes..common the remotes dont last that long.. if you have warranty call dealer.. there is a service action on them,.. if not ill will send you some i have in my box

I think his is pre 03.

 

anything to do with the ignition cylinder. That little tab in there got stuck on mine once and it disables the remotes as if your driving it. Just needs some light oil and a little working form the key. Its the easiest and cheapest fix i know of.

 

My car is an 2004 JFT and the keyless entry started working when I left the office weird.... huh.... I don't know what it could have been but its working now.
