Default HELP with my new STR problems

Hi guys, I know I have another thread but I thought I would make an appropriate thread because I am focused on my problems and mods are the last thing on my mind right now.

What most concerns me now just got str on the road today. Changed oil full synthetic, oil was overfilled by people I got it from. I drove car for thirty minutes fully warmed up. Drives good aside from brakes grinding sound while driving under 30 mph (new rotors probally needed?). Got home popped hood and there is still a faint burning smell but much better than the real bad burning smell when I first took delivery.

But I am worried because the passenger side tailpipe was smoking for 5 min after car was shut off with a burning smell and white smoke , smelled like used firework. The oil was not bubly and normal and coolant level was perfect. so doubt head gasket? Maybe something in pipe burning off? maybe excess oil from overfill? Any thoughts.

I will post my new problems here until I get my STR up to speed , THANKS SO MUCH~~ JOSH

You smelled the catalytic reaction which results with sulfurdioxide (rotten egg).

is it normal to smoke after car engine is off? although its cold here 30degF.

Also I had WOT and when the RPMS got real high a red light came on by speedo, then went off when i let of gas, what's that?

Also does the red light on the S button mean sport engaged or off, cuz the car starts with the red light on.?

Default Verdict

Just walked into the door from the Jaguar Dealership checking everything out.

1. Loud grinding sound when moving = warped front tires
2. GPS unit scrolling is warped touch screen, needs new head unit
3. Transmission pan leak , they want to re seal it

GOOD:

1 . Everything else checked out great nothing else at all NO CODES!!

Dealer that I bought it from agreed to help me pay for used control unit 399$ so hell of alot better than 4 k from jaguar.

Overall I feel a weight is lifted off my shoulders, on to cabin air, fuel filter, kn flat panel and remove screw in airbox!!

STOKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:icon_goofygri n:

I don't understand what a warped tire is, or how that would make a grinding noise. The leak probably isn't the tranny pan, but rather the electrical connector above it. Have it changed at the same time since you have to drop the pan to get it out anyways.

well it's not EXACTLY a grinding sound, sound like my tires are hard as a rock, i think those tires sat for a LONGGG time.

And tranny pan gasket Could be bad they have to reseal the pan
