Default Help! STR or XJR

Hello I'm about to purchase another jaguar I've previously owned a 2003 STR and I can drive 4.5 hours to go look at one with Aftermarket intake/ cat back exhaust which is pretty cool. Or there is a stock XJR same mileage and price about 30 minutes away.. Both cars seem to be in very good condition. I've never driven the XJR before. Please help me choose.. I'll post th link to the XJR in a moment.

Are you prepared to fix the air suspension on the XJ?

The xj has new front air shocks.. Are there issues with the rear I should be aware of?

That's good news. Has the air compressor been fixed?
Do you know about replacing the ring on the piston inside the pump?

Very expensive pump otherwise.

Thanks I'm over on the XJR part of the site reading up on the cars. I'm very mechanically capable of working on the car myself. I had to do the brakes and notorious coolant hose under the supercharger on my STR when I owned it.

Anything else just preference wise on the cars I'm aware that repairs and parts can be costly. Is one a "better" car than the other?

Yes. The XJ is a good bit more expensive, has more options and is bigger and more premium car. So the XJ is a better car. But it has to fit what you want.

And I have an STR too! It was cheaper and I got the performance I was looking for.
