Hesitation on cold start
Hello all,
I have a 2006 S-type 3.0 Jaguar 70K miles. Love it, runs great besides for one issue. On a cold start the car will initially hesitate when I accelerate. It will start to take off, then hesitate for a second, then take off. After that the car runs at 100%. No noises, no check engine lights ever comes on, nor do any gauges indicate any problems. From reading other posts on this forum, I was suggested it may be a misfire. How can I tell if it is a misfire? Or could it be something else?
And if it is a misfire could someone point me to a reliable instructional video on how to change the pugs and coils on an 06 s-type? Or is it just worth paying to have it done? (in your opinion)
Thanks. All help is appreciated.

Doubt coils, etc. are at fault. Be sure the fuel filter is fresh. Though there's no CEL, check for codes. The IMRC gaskets fail on this motor but are easy to remedy. Theres a vaccume line under the air intake that frequently fails too. Our moderator "Joysesjag (Rick) is an expert with the 3.0 quirks. I'm confident he's on his way.
