Hi..just bought a 2006 s type 3.0-- have a question
I used to have a 2004 s type..3.0..,well I bought a one owner last week 2006 with 80k....I noticed a burning plastic smell after driving a while....also...it sounds like a phone is ringing when I get in and out of the car.....I have a really extensive warranty....but what could cause these issues........I just love this car!
Any advice would be very great....thanks

use the search function for that, its there.. i smelled that on a STR i test drove....seems that the possible issue is a failed O ring that allows some oil to drip onto manifold...the thread i read had pics .. looked like it was back on passenger side of engine compartment close to the firewall.. it was a 2-$5 easy DIY fix i think....
My bet is on a stuck park brake. Feel rear wheels after a drive - careful, they may be really hot.
Or - it is leaking IMT O-rings, Coach doesn't recognize the smell of burning oil, and it has an EPB failure to boot, but unrelated to the smell.
