Default HID Light Problem

I have a 03 S-type R and the driver side light has gone out. I noticed that the ballast was off so I put it back on. Then I checked the light and it was blown. I replaced it and the light still does not work. I have skimmed and readyou can chek the igniter? Could it be possible the ne ballast went out again or the igniter? Does anyone know if these are expensive to replace and where to get them? Would it be cheaper to buy a new headlight assembly? Oh one other thing is it really that hard to change the serpentine belt? I noticed the A/C comporessor needs to be lifted just a tad to remove the belt.

Hi,
Try doing a search for those issues. They have been posted before. I paid about 110.00 for a ballast. Try swapping the parts from left to right to determine what is bad. I did this only to find out that the new bulb was also bad and after replacing it (again) it has been fine ever since. New assemblies are pretty expensive.
Hope this helps.

Do like badmojo says and flip flop the parts to find out which piece has gone bad on you.....
