Default High Pitch Whistle

Alright, so I know there is nothing wrong mechanically with my car, but I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this with their ST or STR. I am currently working graveyard shift. When I leave for work, at about 9:30 PM, there is no noise. When I leave work, at around 6:00 AM, there is a whistling coming from the front of the sunroof. Above speeds of about 30 mph the whistle starts.

There are only two differences from when I leave for work and when I leave from work. The air temp goes from about 60 to 40, and condensation builds on the car overnight. I think it is the moisture, and the wind is creating a perfect resonance to make a whistle. You know how it helps to wet your lips when you whistle?? hahaha

Open the sunroof, noise stops. Tilt the sunroof, noise stops. Return to closed, noise starts. Lame.

It is nothing big, just an annoyance. Anyone ever experience this, or ?

Thanks,

Dan

it might be worth "reseting" the sunroof.

The are instructions on how to do it on here somewhere.

Your sunroof gasket could be deteriorating I suppose and shrinking slightly in the colder weather. You say it is wet, next time maybe try opening the sunroof and wiping down around the seal before you leave for home and see if the noise still occurs. Then maybe we can rule out moisture as a variable.

I will probably go with the rubber around the rim is rough, shrinking in colder weather.

But definitely going to try wiping the moisture off tomorrow morning.
