Default "Hood Open" message while accelerating

The "Hood Open" message flashed on the instrument cluster while I was accelerating up to 95mph. The message ceased when I held a steady speed.

The hood appears solidly attached to both latches and I cannot find where the message is triggered from. Is there a switch or sensor near the latches to trigger a message?

It is worth noting that I currently do not have the plastic finishing cover attached to the front of the car which would normally cover both headlights and the hood latches.

According to JTIS it should be adjacent to RH suspension.

Accelerate faster if possible!!! The car is complaining that you need to let it roam free.

That's the left hand! Bloody JTIS.

I hunted for a pic but couldn't find one.

I used to have the same problem too, but this was after I had to have the hood repaired. I just readjusted the sensor a little more upward, and problem gone.

Ok thanks all.
There it is right in front of me.
Was hard to see when the car was in the underground parking structure at work.
I'll take a look at adjusting it upward.

When fooling with it keep the key fob handy. I always somehow get the alarm to go off because the car thinks something is going on. Then I run around like an idiot to grab the FOB and shut it off!
