Hey guys has anyone ever done this before that can explain how to me? I really appreciate it.

 

I have a 2003 3.0 manual transmission and replaced the knob (dealer only item) a few years ago. I know it is not a screw on knob, and I seem to recall that there is a sprung piece of metal that holds the knob on the lever, and you have to crimp this to release it. This can be done from the top without removing any trim.
