I thought I had corrected everything, but
Fellow Jag owners,
I posted a few weeks back re my wife's jag. Have since gotten all the items fixed, but obd2 codes P1549 and P1000 are present on my engine scanner.
I have this message related to P1549 "Intake manifold air control solenoid 1 (upper flap) circuit malfunction. I looked for the upper flap manifold solenoid in the sngbarrat catalog , doesn't seem to be listed on the intake manifold page.
My question is where is the air control solenoid 1 located?
Btw, P1000 is listed as "system readiness test not complete". Is this a message re my code reader?
As usual, thanks in advance for any and all your insights.

It's worth reading Jaguar's details. You get their actual wording and all the known causes.
You want the OBD codes PDF from the workshop manual or JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource - free downloads.
It also explains the status code P1000.

P1549 is a fault in the upper IMT valve, either the valve itself or the wiring.
Did you have them disconnected when you were doing other things, they are difficult to reach and may not be plugged in correctly, the wiring also gets toasted back there and could be damaged.

After making sure a connector isn't loose and before buying a new part, you can swap the two valves and see if the fault follows.
Thanks for the input. I have isolated the smell of melting hot plastic to the rear of the intake manifold. I think Norri was correct in stating things get toasted back there. Just not sure how much damage was done.
BTW- is there a source that gives specific jaguar part numbers for the solenoid?

Use the dropdown 'Marketplace' menu in the upper left of the screen and select Vendor Marketplace. There are several vendors that are forum sponsors that can supply any parts that may be needed.
