Well have now finally got everything sorted
on my 2004 4.2
last job was ignition key as last one broke and fob stopped working
Price for new key from jaguar new Zealand was $ 600 plus tax but had to purchase min of 2
well decided to try cheap ebay s type key with 433 mh borad and I'd 48 glass chip
so purchased 4 total of $50
thought I would try them even after being told they would not work
and had to get them programed by jaguar


I got the 6 digit key code from jaguar
Went to local key cutting shop
$60 to cut 4 key blades
Decided to try my key programmer that I had for 5 years
That I forgot I had
everything went smoothly now I have 4 keys that work perfectly including the fob
So instead of spending $1400 for 2 keys
it cost me $110 for 4 keys
