I bought my 2010 XF used with salvage title. It came with a key fob but no original metal keys. I have blanks and need them cut for my car. Dealer wants $1,000. Can anyone recommend an alternative? A known and trusted locksmith than can cut a few keys for me?

i Called them and scheduled an appointment for the same afternoon. They came to my house and got the code for the key and about an hour later I had a perfect working Key. I tried four years ago and nobody had the machine to cut the special key. Today they came and got it done for $175 for the first key and half off for any other copies. The only problem was the quality of the key blanks that I provided. They came with the key fobs I bought on eBay and were cheap aluminum. They cut one and it worked but not well. But it is the one that fits in the fob. They made another from one of their steel blanks and it works perfectly but doesn’t go into the fob. So if you can get a good quality blank you should do it. Use a steel blank not aluminum.
