I've got a 03' jaguar s type and I lost my key fob. Luckily I had a spare and ordered a new uncut fob on eBay. The local dealership Charlotte Jaguar told me twice they would not cut an aftermarket key.. Tried on the phone and even in person. Their excuse was it'll ruin their machine lol.. They only will cut their keys at 170 bucks a pop. I can't find a local locksmith that can cut my key and it sucks my local dealership is being a jerk. Does anyone know of a locksmith around the Charlotte area that can cut the tibbe keys?

 

There is a guy on the X-Type forum who was going to buy a machine to cut the keys. Maybe you could contact him. The thread is: USA - cost of key?

They were unable to. Best is go the eBay. Buy your keys online and then ship them to a seller on eBay to cut them. Not as quick, but not as expensive either. Don't use auto key masters.. they cut mine and did a horrible job. They blamed it on the key but would've been perfect if they would've prepped the key better for the jig
