Default Ignitor Coil equivalent for STR

Is there a Ford/ LS equivant for the AJ810445 that are on my 03 STR with 80k miles ? My local parts guys cannot make use of the Denso number. The #4 quit a few days ago and I handed Jag $70.00 for one. I would like to replace the lot but not at $70.00 each. Ebay had several sets. Usually for the 4.0 or 4.2 and say they fit the R but they do not look or describe as the same.

Go to Advance Auto Parts, they have the correct ones and they are 50 or 55 each. Make sure you get the one with four posts not two. They might have to order them, but it doesn't take too long.

Thanks for that! Can you post a part number for the coil? It would be a help.
Thank you!

They must have risen in price. When I bought mine a few months back they were $55 or less.

Wow that price seriously went up in the last few hours. When I first posted it it was the same price as the 2 prong at 53. Guess they saw this post and updated their prices.

Boys boys boys...

They are 33.79 each from rock auto. And yes for the 4 pin ones:

I have a 5% off coupon too if anyone needs it.

Take care,

That one you posted from rock auto I believe is for the 3.0 not the 4.2. The 4.2 has a much longer shaft where as the 3.0 uses the short shaft.

Also make sure you double check the yr. When I bought mine I did alot of searching and found for the 04 4.2 they were 50.00 for the 05 4.2 they jumped up to almost 80.00. I have no idea what the difference in yrs are but it sure does affect the price.
