Default IMT O-rings

In reviewing various threads on the O-rings, I see references to leaking oil and vacuum leaks to the intake manifold but nothing on whether oil can be sucked into the intake manifold. I have a 2003 3.0 with manual transmission, 82000 miles and have been experiencing an increase in oil consumption ( 1 quart per 800 miles). Although not specifically tested, it appears that compression and valve guides are ok. I bought the car used, and not sure if the O rings have been upgraded to the "green type". Since I am not leaking oil, could the oil consumption problem be related to the O-rings?

Nope..What happens with the o-rings is they let pooled oil that sits in the manifold leak out....They will not cause consumption of oil... Some oil use is normal but yours seems very high... My shade tree opinion would be to check PVC system...Also, I would get a compression test on all cylinders.
