inertia switch
2005 jaguar s-type 3.0 had transmission work done, and a new battery put in. car still won't start. I've read several articles on getting new fuel pumps. Is the inertia switch possibly the cause?
Try checking for fuel pressure first via obd2 .
Then if no pressure try pressing the inertia swich . And listen for a click .
And recheck the fuel pressure.
Also have a look at the pats light on the dash to see what that is doing .
And check the mechatronics plug on the trans is seated.
Did you by any chance replace the tcm . If so it will need programming before you can start it .

Turn off all the radio/AC stuff. Turn on the key.
Can you hear the pump run for several seconds? You should be able to hear that and it will run a bit every time you cycle the key.
Let us know what you find out.
