Just got this car for my daughter and giving me some issues. Just changed out the fuel pump and now the #5 fuse for the injectors keeps blowing every time we hit the ignition. FYI we had jump started or tried to several times.

Most likely your battery is now an ungainly paperweight. These cars are VERY sensitive to battery condition. If the battery had been sitting discharged any length of time, I’d plan on replacing it.
At the very minimum, fully recharge the battery and have it tested. Any place that sells batteries will do it for free. If bad, make sure the replacement is fully charged, too. They typically aren’t at the time of sale.
It is a 2000 S-Type with the 4.0. It blows when you go to crank the engine. Battery was extremely low so I took it out and put on a slow charge. Battery is almost new.
A little update and part of the mystery solved. The piece shown on the throttle body below is missing. When trying to start the other day I covered with my hand and it ran. I put a piece to block air and it turns out it makes the #5 fuse blow. When removed it does not blow. Now to find that missing part and move on with life.
Any idea what to search for? The part that attaches to the vacuum on this side of throttle body.

Wow, that is very strange. No idea why that is happening.
The best thing I can suggest is to install that missing piece as you were thinking, and see what happens. Sorry I don’t know what that part is called. Maybe somebody with an early V8 can chime in.
