Default Inner tie rod

Hey guys hope all is well. I have question about inner tie rods. I have a broken inner tire rod that needs to be replaced, I've been told I need to replace the whole rack and pinion unit. Now is that true can I just buy one inner tie rod or do I have to purchase a whole new rack and pinion thanks for the help

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to S-Type forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

I would just replace the rack. It comes with both inner tie rods and it's a shared part with the Lincoln LS so supply and price are pretty good.

I see racks for around $300 and it would be worth it to have it all new.

+1 on replacing the rack. I replaced an inner (its possible) but not worth the hassle..
