Hello everyone, this is my first post in the Jaguar forum so if this has been asked before please forgive me. I have searched but cannot find an answer. I am already a member of the Range Rover forum so I am familiar with the set up of things.

Anyway my question is re the interior lights not coming on when I press the button on the roof light panel of my 2002 3.0 Sport. They come on when I press the individual reading lamp buttons and they all work when the car locks and unlocks or when the doors are opened. The rear lights also work off their own switches its just when the main switch is pressed nothing happens.

I have just sold my 4.0 V8 on which everything worked. This one had a sunroof and the reversing proximity sensor buttons up there too so it's not that I'm pressing the wrong thing. Any help appreciated.

 

probably just a faulty button. mine does the same thing. try pressing on it from different angles and applying different amount of pressure. sometimes mine works with enough finagling.

 

Thanks, the next step was to take it out and give it a check but I'll try that first. Come to think of it some of the push buttons on my other car were a bit sticky at first but have come back to life.
