Default J gate opinions

I finally started playing around with the J gate shifter this morning and I'm not really sure how I feel about it. Do you guys that use it have issues skipping gears during aggressive driving? Is it just something you get used to the feel of? 2-3 is the one I kept screwing up. I'd pull it too far back and get it between 3-4. Just trying to see what feedback everyone else has on using it.

After some brief experimentation I decided the car does the right thing nearly always so my sole actual use is steep downhill to keep engine braking (often due to speed cameras).

I've also at very slow speed moved to N in snow as it's not worth having snow tyres here and an STR without them can be a bit pesky.

I get that with the snow tires. Drove an E55 year round in MA that was not fun.

I agree woth you about the shifting in regular drive mode. If you want it to go it'll go. I was just wanting to play around with a bit and wasn't sure what long term owners had thought about it.
