Unhappy Jaguar S-type 2001 Central locking problem

My central locking functions normally with the remote but after ca. 20 min pause it ceases to receive the remote signals. Until that I have been able to open and close the locking unlimitedly with the remote. Also if I donīt close the car at all but then only open the drivers door with the handle and close the door again the remote starts to function again for 20 min. Any clue what might cause it?

Additional comment: If the car is left unlocked, after ca. 20 min remote key does not function. If any door is then opened and closed by the handle the remote key functions again for another 20 min. If opened by the key after that the alarm starts but can be shut off by the remote key.

Thanks JagV8. Would you have any hints how this, a little bit unpleasant disturbance could be eliminated. Not so nice when the alarm always activates eg. in a shopping center.

Just put key in ignition. If you have a fault I'm not sure what it is.

On another website I read that there ia some kind of "tongue" on one of the microswitches in the door latch which could cause disturbance. Originally it has been plastic but later replaced by a metal one. Somehow it could also to be some kind of delayed shut off phenomena in the central unit as the fob stops to function after 20 min
