I have a 2005 S type, 6 Cy. automatic, and this morning the parking break will not release. I tried break peddle & break lever together, nothing. I replaces fuses, nothing. Haven't tried hot wiring the motor to the battery, kind of nervous abut that and will pull battery and have it checked; but I think it's fine because the cars been starting fine. It was cold last night and the car started ok. Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Jay

It needs more power than you'd believe so try it with engine revved.

Have you had any luck?

I'm having the same problem with my 2005 S type, the parking break won't release.

They installed a new alternator about a month ago which temporarily fixed the problem but it's happening again.
