Anyone feel free to warn me about anything I need to worry about with my recent acquisition! Don't worry, I'm well-acquainted with automobile forums, so I will be using the 'search bar' for the next 4 hours tonight!!

I'm mostly interested in boosted STR's! I recently added a EuroToys supercharger pulley, Milltek Manifold-back exhaust, and a 'EuroToys' ECU upgrade. For being such a heavy car, she feels like she'd do high 12's now!

Welcome to "S" land Steve. My 03 STR has a manifold back exhaust mod, K&N drop-in a/f, "Mafioso" air intake elbow, Eurotoys 3 lb pulley and low temp. thermostat, and H&R Sport lowering springs. On Monday she's going on the dyno prior to an ECU tune. We're curious of your Eurotoys ECU tune. What's your impression?

Hey Steve,

Welcome to the Forum and congrats on your new STR ride. Don't worry about anything before it happens. My 03 has been virtually pain free. Enjoy your ride and "drive it like you stole it". These STR's seem to enjoy it.

The best aspect of the Eurotoys tune is it made power available throughout the RPM's, with just the bolt-ons, I always noticed 'dead-spots' where torque was falling likely from lean or rich or back-pressure issues.... NOT ANYMORE!

power power and more power all the time! if you are cruising 65mph on the freeway, and just slowly press the accelerator, you just keep getting sucked into the seat deeper and deeper! a fantastic upgrade, and a NECESSARY one.

SteveRogers, thank you for your impression of the Eurotoys ECU tune. This is all I wanted to know. Though my 03 modded STR boogies, I agree that some parts of the power band become flat. I'll post tomorrows dyno results folks then send the ECU to Eurotoys. Be well all.

SteveRogers, you didn't mention which Eurotoys pulley you run (1.5 or 3 lb.)?

Heat soak resolved by thermo-wrapping EVERYTHING. plus, i flushed the radiator with DEI radiator relief Flush, then refilled and topped with 'Water Wetter.' Helped out quite a bit.
all fluids replaced with Synthetic right when I bought her. Diff, tranny, engine... Redline Synthetics.
Headers are heat wrapped and thermo-coated. intake wrapped and taped with heat resistant automotive tape and adhesive. Have patience, spend an entire day purposely just 'trying' to find things to wrap, spray and protect and you'll get some nice results.

Also, consider cutting and moving things to get airflow where you need it.... I'm not giving away my secrets for that well maybe.... See you at the track!

Steve, what Eurotoys pulley (1.5 or 3 lb) are you running? Wow! Where did you get the headers?
