Welcome to the forum Gerry.

Please post an intro in the new members section when you can.

It's likely that almost any problem you will have has been covered here in the past so learning to search the forum will pay dividends.

Where are the pics?

Change the fluids! Especially the autobox (ZF 6HP26) fluid. See the MANY threads

If you don't have one, get an OBD tool with live data such as an elm327.

Check the fuel trims.

(Check for codes too.)

Check the battery state. (Read why...)

Check the forum Stickies. Consider installing JTIS (the workshop manual). Also check JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource

Oh - watch your speed as tickets are easily acquired

Drive it hard and enjoy it, while you can. Of course, make sure the mechanic will give you free service for the first 6 months to a year. If he balks at it. run away fast!

Monitor coolant loss. Your car is at an age where hose and water pump leaks become common. For me, the hose under the supercharger went first. The fix is well documented on this site.
