hi all

i lost my x-type in a accident last month

and my father got me a 3.0 s-type 2000 M.Y

so i have no idea about the car ??

i need to know what are the common problem with it ??

S-Type Jaguar....It will either become a hobby or a moneypit. I enjoy doing most of my own repairs and am able to save a fortune as well. I love mine and have to say that very few cars are as enjoyable to drive when running well. The body style is also timeless. Check with this forum when you have concerns, there are guys here who are really helpfull and it's a combined encyclopedia of knowledge.

Hi MeeMo, Sorry to hear about your X but congrats on moving up to an S. I have a 2000 3.0L that I am the original owner of. Its been a very good car; the only non-regular maintenance issues I have had have been with the window regulators and the coolant overflow bottle cracking. Others have had issues with the transmission, vacuum leaks and oil leaks. Keep it well maintained and ithould deliver should give you many miles of happy motoring.
