Killer Chiller on a STR?
Since I'm planning to tune the engine I want to make sure that the intercoolers are working well and the manifold air temperatures are low even with higher boost levels.
Therefore I investigated the killer chiller system which looks actually very good.
I have few questions in my mind regarding the stock A/C
- if the outside temperature is lower than the temperature asked inside the cabin, is the AC compressor running?
- Is the AC compressors power to produce cold only in relation to the RPM's? Or is there any other imputs for the compressor?
- Is the compressor fully working in wide open throttle situations?
These question are important since I want the system to provide extremely cold MAT regardless of the outside air temperature...
- If the original AC is not working in the way that suits my needs then I would need to go with and electrical AC compressor for the IC circuit.

You could learn a lot by studying the materials (workshop manual etc) which are free downloads. Also, read the multiple previous threads on these topics which cover even more than you ask.
a/c is disabled during WOT I believe.
