hello everyone my name is joey and im from pa I have a 2004 jag s type 3.0 that has the engine light on and from a dead start if I accelerate past 2000 rpm's the car starts bucking and knocking and if I come off the accelerator the cars returns to normal. accelerating past 2000 is when it starts up I replaced the knock sensor 3 months ago and it started again. and are therefore than 1 knock sensors on this model?
can anyone help me please

1. stop doing that or it may be terminal
2. why blame knock sensor(s)?

Check fuel trims. Check MAF readings.

Engine light on = Read code(s)

Read code and report back.
Just guessing but you may have a faulty knock sensor or connection. I'm guessing a V6 will have two knock sensors. The code will tell you which is sending the signal if that is the code,
A knock sensor code will send the car to restricted performance and I believe that it starts to cut off power at around 2000 rpm.
Even if just a false signal due to bad knock sensor you still need to get it sorted as it seems you are lacking enough power with the 3.0

With the V8 supercharged motor it pull really well up to 2000 rpm so actual drivability is not so bad; but the V6 I can see the need to fix it soon.
First start with the code reading to see what it is.
