LED License Plate Lights?

RE: LED License Plate Lights? PICS of mine
Hey guys, I recently upgraded mine, and wanted to come by htere to give you an idea and show some differences in what is out there, in terms of color and light output.
NOTE: The exposure on the camera was reduced to eliminate some of the highlights being blown-out, and you can see the color difference and comparison of intensity when side by side, so imagine the output compared to yours, evenly and completely illuminating the plate.
I set the camera to incandescent white balance, or your basic light bulb in the house, as this is what most closely matches the color that I perceived the plates/bulbs to be.
This are the stock halogen bulbs
Then I inserted one LED, presumably at the 8000k color tempurature.
Purchased from eatoworks.com
New LED on the right, obviously.
Ok, now this is the look that I thought I wanted, but it was too blue for my taste.
So, I found this one from superbrightleds.com $4.95 ea, $5.00 shipping
Now, the difference between this one, and the previous bulb, is the color wavelength that is dominant. See this spec page
for all the different types of 194 wedges that are supplied by superbrightleds.com.
Left one 4500K wedge, right is 8000k wedge
As you can tell, the color is more white (actually purplish) which results in an increased brightness, and to be honest, matches more closely the new Lexus models running around our streets with LEDs on their plates. I love them now!
Both bulbs in now.
PS, I don't really mindthe license plate being shown on here. Hey, i'm promoting my alma mater, and it's not like the plate number will help you find me. I am listed in the phone book after all.

Its just the camera trying to expose the image correctly, and you can try to adjust the exposure compensation to the plus(+) side by 1-2 clicks. It is dirty though. The camera looks like it was on Auto White Balance as well, based on the two pictures, and in the first, it looks more accurate for the halogen vs LED bulb, but the second one, it corrected it even further, that's why it looks more white than blue... I assume the blue in the 1st side by side pic is closer to the actual appearance of the lights?
Take a pic farther away from the rear of the car, so you can get the tailights in it as well, turn up the exposure compensation, set the white balance to the picture of a light bulb (incandescent) and maybe even set it on a box or something so you don't have any camera shake. It is kindof trial and error to get the appearance of the light output to match what you see and what the camera captures.
Happy with the results?

Well, if it bugs ya later on, there are those bulbs that I installed that are more whiteish with a bit of purple to it. After all of the money that I have spent trying bulb types in my turn signals and brake lamps, another $15 is a drop in the well! oh my, I spent alot.
As long as you are happy, that's what counts...they may grow on you.
