I know this is an old post but has anyone used the Sylvania 6000k led? They are between $10 & $12 each depending on where you get them from. They seem to be a pretty bright white.

Ok well I put the Sylvania LED bulbs in my plate lights and it looks perfect. Super happy with the color. Looks factory! However, I did notice a slight buzz after installing them. This normal? I had the car off and and park lights on when I changed them out. After pulling the factory bulbs out and installing the LED's that's when I heard a slight buzzing coming from them

I have not installed any LED lights on my car yet so I don't know what they require. Do they need to be installed with the correct polarity? I.E. positive to positive.

Check the connections. Are they clean. The socket may have become corroded over time.

You might have a bad ground somewhere also.

Try re-installing the old bulbs one at a time and see if the "buzz" goes away on one or both. If it is only one bulb try swapping them and see if the buzz moves. If so you might have a bad bulb.

Good luck.

Scott

It's both bulbs and it's very faint. But it's there. Only with the LED bulbs though. And yes they are the correct bulb #2825
Either way they are staying in cause they look amazing!

My plate light lights do not work either on my 2011 XKR. Dealer says it is a module. A $1,000.00 PART!!!!!!!!! The car is under warranty and I am in the process of getting it fixed. RIDICULOUS!
