2003 S-Type 3.0

my left back tail is on, but when I hit the brakes it goes out, what is the problem?

Assuming it's the correct bulb and is properly installed, it's probably the bulb holder. My R/H rear did something similar.

 

so should I get a new back left panel, Or what should I do? Thanks for helping
