Default Let's see the str's!

So on almost all other car forums there is a pictures thread, for everyone to show their rides, or their favorite str pics in general(does not have to be theirs, or even someone on here). I have yet to find one here, so I thought I'd start one. Another one could be for all s-types, but let's keep this one just str's. And one other thing, I'm show as many pics as you want! And continue to update it, no need to keep this just one or two pics of your str. so now.. GO! (by the way, this is partly just to hold me over until I get my own str)

Woah! She's a beauty Vance. I'll post my 03 late this month cause she's having the front lower valence re-painted on 8/21 (too many parking curb bangers scraped off some paint) and a full detail. S-Types are just plain sexy...the STR is that and mean-*** too.

How much is that running you bfsgross? I got some pretty bad scrapes that were there when I bought her that I am wanting to get repaired sometime in the future just wondering what that runs. Thanks for the compliment. I still want to hear and see that exhaust of yours. My next mod is gonna be some red calipers with white lettering. Then I think I might start playing with the exhaust you got me steering in that direction before a pulley. I'll see how you like your pulley after you get it installed. I live right around the corner from a 1/4 mile track so I think I might run mine stock to get a baseline so when I do mods I can see if it lowers my time. Gotta see what there rules are first.
I am actually from Monroe, MI. I still got family there I left when I joined the Marine Corps and when I get out in a few months its looking like I'll be moving to Florida but I still come up there to visit family so next time I'm up there hopefully you'll have an STR and we can have a little STR meet.

Yo, searanch, riski, and vance, Friggin nice "R"'s ! One day a consensus will be drawn on a month and day we all meet. Vance, our friends brother owns a bodyshop and will be painting the front lower bumber/valence next week at no charge, though I'll chuck him a bill or two for his expertice. Nice to have a friend in the car business but a decent shop will charge you between $200 and $300+ to redo a lower valence. Certainly check around for quotes. I'll post pics and vids late this month. I'm driving around with the drivers windows and moon roof partially or wide open, and fully closed as a means to determine if the Magnaflow mufflers are ok or too much bark for my tastes. With windows closed the interior cabin noise is suprisingly quiet considering what is going outside i.e. there is some aggressive exhaust barking that occurs at say at a dead stop and the gas is quickly depressed and barks when downshifts are made with depression of gas during cruise. It sounds and moves her pretty impressively but I'm thinking a bit too much, so I'm feeling her out and if I tire of the barking I'll throw on the Walker Dynomax Super Turbos to reel in the bark a bit. It should still sound and move nice though, let's see. Hopefully the slipping blower belt and 1.5 pulley will go on this weekend and I'll have an opportunity to feel "The Full Effect".

Bfs, this is why I hesitated in changing the stock exhaust. Frankly, I love the fact that no one hears me. I pulled up to my father's house a few weeks ago and he has ears like a dolphin -- didn't even know I was there until I rung the bell. Sometimes I turn the radio off & open the windows a crack just to listen to the sweet sounds of the cat and she's so reserved and silent. I love it. An X-pipe is definitely going in, but I don't want the car rumbling at idle or under half throttle. I'm hesitant on changing the mufflers.

My bro took some pics of my car after an extensive detail .. I'll see if I can get them up.

Hi ChrisSTR, I understand your reservation to dismantle the exhaust for fear of noise. As a suggestion...your putting in anX-pipe so why not remove the resonator? The x-pipe will mix the banks and cause a smooth pipe hugging flow of the gases but all the mixing and smoothing will be undone if passed through the stock resonator which incorporates an internal crossover channel. I bet she will not only sound sweet, not loud, but also conger up some hp and trq.

Thanks again bfs. Cant wait to hear about her when you get her to "The Full Effect".
searanch I've always loved the stance of your white. That thing sits perfect which makes me want H&R's even more. They will have to wait till I get out and get settled in my new state. Great looking STR.
riski as always looking good. If my wheels didnt come chrome they would be black like yours in an instant. Eventually I'd like to get another set of stockers and get them black chromed but that will be in the future.
DrJsl22 I missed your post about the tint but I see you saw that it was 20% all around. Its actually not legal here but I live in a Marine town so cops dont really enforce tint laws too much here cause every other car is registered in another state so they dont even bother. Plus we have to get inspected every year. I luck out cause I'm moving to FL before my next inspection and my grandfather says FL doesnt enforce either. He has 5% on his cars cause of the heat. Also I graduated in 1998 from Monroe High.
BlackCat lookin good as always I'll be joining you with some red calipers soon.
I'll get some more pics up in a few weeks when I do my calipers in red. My friend is making me some new caliper stickers that should be here soon.

InverStype;
You have my favorite color!! I love Zircon and would have got my STR in that but Zircon only came with the very light interior colors that I wanted to avoid.

This is my 2005 STR. Platinum with Charcoal interior. Factory Vulcan wheels chromed. I have added a Mina boxes (Mufflers) so the tips are different from the pictures. Currently at 59K miles.
