Just curious whether anybody else has a minor heart attack every time 'that' little yellow light comes up on the left hand instrument binacle. You know the one - it is usually accompanied by a message that says things like 'Washer Fluid Low', or 'Right Brake Lamp Failed', but since I have had the car there have been just sufficient 'real' messages that my attention is definitely caught when it comes on.

My most dreaded message is 'Transmission Fault'. This has occurred three times in two years. Once it was caused by low battery volts on a really cold day, once for reasons unknown, but cleared on a restart, but once it was due to a fluid leak in the gearbox causing low fluid levels. It is part of the joy of having a car that actually tells you things, I guess, but sometimes I feel the car could break things to me a little more gently!

I have maintained for as long as I have had Jaguars, "They are all female", and I think that sums it up precisely.

 

I suspect the red one is more of a worry, for those who suffer it.
