Lower control arm bushings on both sides shot at 40k and 43k
What's up with these cars running through LCA bushings? Is it from hitting potholes or is it from going fast and slamming the brakes? I hit it up to about 120mph the other night and my steering wheel started shaking violently, threw me in the other lane and then the wheel just about fell off. Luckily I was able to get it to the side of the road to get towed! My dealer says this is "normal" for most jags. Sounds like a crappy made suspension.
And of course, no point in replacing the bushing if a shop is going to charge $340 in labor and parts when you can just buy a new control arm for $485 and pop it in within 30 minutes in your garage.

We're not seeing this even on much older cars so I suggest it's something specific such as a bad bush or hitting potholes at speed. I don't see it being related to braking.
My car is at 110K miles and on its original bushes. They are tested annually over here as part of a government-mandated test (MoT) which it just passed without even an advisory for them being near the limit.

I am not sure either?
I have 105K on my 2005 STR and all the suspension is still factory and it drives great.
I do have some torn rubber boots on the upper control arms front and back. In fact nearly everybody does if they look at them!
Please post pictures of what wore out if you can. I am intersted in what it looks like.
