Talking Lowered my STR lastnight

I kept the factory CAT shocks and went with H&R springs. I personally feel that the ride quality is much better. Here are some pics:

Looks good! How much did the springs take the car down? 1.5"?

They will actually settle a little bit lower too. I still love my h&r spring setup.

Can you do me a favor and measure the distance between a flat surface and the bottom of the front bumper? I keep thinking about lowering mine but I live on a pretty rough dirt road and there is a few spots I think I would bottom out if I lowered. If I get that measurement I can measure mine and then go to the few bad spots and measure so see if I'd make it.

Nice Look... Normally, I like it when people keep it stock looking... But DAMN, that sits awesome.

Now just get it out of that garage full of Italian junk.... LOL

If you go a different route let me know I may pick those up from you if the price is right.

I'll check mine when I get home as mine has settled over a year.

Nice thanks I want to make sure I can get home before I take the plunge. Or leave for that matter since I'll install them at home.

Will do. I measured mine it's 6 3/4" to the center and 6" at the little dips in the front end on both sides where the fog lights are. That's with cats button on summer setting if that makes any difference.

Mine is 5 ~3/4" measured to the belly pan in the front.

Wow, it looks awesome! I have a set of h&r springs and bilsteins that I'm going to install on my 4.0 sport when the weather improves. Did you get an alignment done immediately afterwards?

It's easier to compare between cars by measuring from the centre of the hub to the wheel arch. That way you do not have to allow for variations in how other bits might be fitted.

I don't have a CATS button on my 2005 STR? Can you tell me where it's at?
Thanks!

It is the "S" button next to the shifter. It affects the CATS suspension along with the Trans shift points ect ect...

I don't think it affects CATS. Any evidence it does?
