If my s type 2003 2.5 sport auto v6 has the lurch how much could it cost to fix,?

 

I'm not sure that "the lurch" is completely fixable in these cars. Some owners have reported success having their ZF transmissions reflashed by the dealership's upgraded software. Other owners have reported that the reflash helped only temporarily. And still other owners have reported that the reflash made no difference whatsoever....

A ZF reflash appears to cost around $150 in my neck of the woods and requires two techs to do it properly (one driving the car and one operating the laptop from the passenger seat). Fortunately, our car has never suffered from this particular problem....

 

Others have reported a benefit from a fluid/filter change.

As Jon says there is no hard and fast cure.
