Manual Trans Fluid
I recently bought 2003 S Type with a manual trans. I want to change the trans fluid, but am having trouble find out what type of fluid it requires. The Jag dealers say they have it, for $68/liter, but don't know what it is. That can't even tell me the drain and fill capacity. The owners manual is silent about this. I was hoping it was the same as the Motorcraft Synthetic Manual Trans fluid the the Ford dealers sell for about $18/quart. No one seems to know.
If anyone can unlock this mystery, please chime in.
Thanks in advance, Bill

The Specifications PDF in the FAQs will have the info I expect. You'll have to follow the newbie rules to read it, of course
Looks to be 1.2 qts of JLM20237... try the forum sponsors to buy it.
Probably not the Ford stuff.

Correct on the fill amount: 1.2 US Quarts or 1.1 Litres
Alldata is showing Esso LT 71141 as fluid used.
I did a yahoo search on "Esso LT 71141" and came up with much lower prices, around $21.00 a quart.

Thanks for the help, Rick. I guess some of us need our hands to be held once in a while.
BTW, I seached for quite some time before posting, and I still can't find the specs. So spare me the insults jagv8, please.
