MGP Caliper Covers
I searched previous caliper cover threads but didn't find anyone with this exact problem. Ignoring the aesthetic debate, I have a set of MGP caliper covers on my 2000 XK8 and recently purchased a set for my 2002 S-Type (non "R"). When I went to install them I found that they interfered with the wheels and removed them. Has anyone else run into this problem? I've contacted MGP but they don't seem that interested in helping me and won't allow me to return them. Any thoughts, or should I just take the $$$ loss and chalk It up to experience? I guess I could consider wheel spacers, but that's a can of worms I have no interest in opening.
A good suggestion only I've already installed new rotors and pads so that would be more money out the window. Probably would have had to buy new calipers to go with the larger rotor. Unfortunately, it also wouldn't help with th original issue of fitting new caliper covers.
Not wishing to prolong the misery, but upon further investigation, NO caliper cover will fit since there is almost no clearance between the back of the wheel and the face of the caliper. I'm wondering if the previous owner switched out the factory wheels for aftermarket ones even though these look stock. If someone could quick-check their car and give me a guesstimate of that gap it would greatly appreciated. In any case, I'm probably going to have sell the covers since I'm go and change out the wheels (if thery're the problem.
Thanks.
Thanks.
The gaps between the wheel and the caliper face are almost non -existent on front brakes and about 1/4" on the rears. I had replaced the disks and pads (which seem to be working well) and wonder if I could have somehow mixed up the rotor placement, although I'm sure the front and rear rotors are different diameters. Other than that, could I have received the wrong rotors somehow? I'll do some on the car measurements and find out.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

This is a 2002 with the Sport package and the 4.0L V8.. Can I assumeit was fitted with the 200mm front rotor or the 320mm one? Also, would the diameter of the rotor have anything to do with the clearance between the wheel hub and the caliper face? I still have the old rotors and am going to measure them against the replacements. I'm also wondering if I could have gotten the front and rear rotors mixed up somehow, even thought they labelded front/rear and left/right. This may very well be a self-induced problem (definitely not my first one and probably not my last)!
'll send it out tomorrow morning. Supposedly there are different front rotors for the standard and Sport (computer-controlled) suspensions. I have the latter. I'm wondering if I was supplied with the rotors for the standard suspension.
Attached is a photo of the mounted wheel and one showing how tight the gap is between the wheel spoke and the caliper face. Below is fitment information from Detroit Axle which shows that the standard front rotor is incompatible with a Sport suspension vehicle.
