Default Mina Gallery springs installed...

Hey gang,

I had mina gallery springs installed on my CATS struts today (sorry, I forgot to take some "before" shots):

I took a detour onto a nice curvy road on the way back from the shop and the car handled great... it really stuck to the road. I hit a few bumps (not potholes) on purpose to see how the car would handle and the car didn't flinch one bit. I've got 3 more mods to come:

1) Forgestar CF5 wheels (like Under Pressure's but in the 18" version)
2) Painted calipers
3) Mina pulley (with dyno of course)

Stay tuned...

Check out my caliper paint poll thread... https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...houghts-81625/

The Forgestars are in (have had them for awhile, just haven't had a chance to mount them)...

goblue, I just responded to your paint calipers thread, now I have a clear thought, with those new wheels keep the calipers silver.

goblue, the car - and those new wheels - are beautiful! I think the lowering is very tasteful and really gives the car an aggressive look. Please post pictures once you get the wheels mounted.

Thanks guys... I'll definitely post pictures after I get the wheels on... just need to decide on a caliper color first. I'll have everything on by the end of next week... hopefully I'll have the pulley installed then as well.

The car looks great! Does anyone know who Mina uses to make their springs? I hold my vote for a dark bronze / copper color for the calipers.

I don't know what your experience with lowering a car is so pardon me if I am telling things you already know, but remember to let the springs settle for a few days before spending the $$$$ to get an alignment done. The geometry of your suspension was altered, and you will wear the inner sides of your tires if you don't get a proper alignment (there are specs posted here from members for your alignment). Unfortunetly, I was not able to find longer camber bolts for the STR but I have used the specs posted here and it's been okay since I put my H&R's on a few months back. I'm still seeing premature wear, but only slightly. Anyway, to get the best alignment let the springs settle by holding off from getting the alignment done for about a week. That way it's settled into its final resting spot for the alignment numbers to stay. And then hurry up and post pics with those new Forgestars!!!! It's gonna look gangster can't wait!

Also, rear camber isn't adjustable. My H&Rs gave me about 1.5 degrees of neg camber
