I think this has come up before, but why do people run fog lights when there's no fog? All it does is irritate oncoming drivers. It's a ticketable offence in some places.

Because in America whoever dies with the most lights wins! Haven't you seen some of our 4x4 trucks

Honestly I'm just used to it, but if your fog lights are irritating other drivers, you either have them aimed ridiculously high (if you can even do such a thing), or you're cresting a hill. I've never heard of anyone ever getting a ticket for fog lights on in the US.
