Default Missing the STR

So I was blessed with the leaking coolant line under the supercharger experience in January. I changed the DCCV since that was leaking too and just parked it until I gathered more information on the coolant line and ordered the parts. Thanks to the forum, I contacted Steve at Nalley Jaguar and I feel confident I got the best deal on the parts.

Something I'm not so good at is letting go of the control and taking my vehicles to a mechanic. I keep a ridiculous schedule (obviously since its March and I just ordered the parts last week) so I'm "interviewing" shops and gauging their experience. That DCCV change also convinced me this car is built by hobbits with tiny hands. Its really time for me to get out of my tired X300 and get my STR back on the road.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posts their experiences and knowledge here. It is priceless but can save a TON of money. The search button is my buddy.

You mean besides selling your CS8, C1500 and LeSabre? lol

Yes, my work's parking lot was recently blessed with a shower of orange coolant goodness...I also used Nalley for the parts...Not the DCCV, though...

BTW, since the supercharger is off, now is the time to either put on a 3lb pulley (I do NOT recommend that, others do) get the thing ported or seal up the silencer ports if you want a loud whine...

"Blessed with a shower of orange coolant goodness" LOL! Bacardi, yer too funny dude. Fred, as Bacardi points out, send the blower for a nice power increasing, intake charge temperature lowering...porting. Whilst there, allow the porting service to pop on the 3 lb pulley. Stiegmier makes a water cooled blower snout or ya can use a "Chiller Killer" to cool down the intercooler. These mods, along with hi-flow cats, etc. very likely allow the STR to put 400+ hp to the wheels.

Ha! Hey out of all my cars the Jaguar is the only one that does everything well (maybe not haul stuff). It is faster than the cs8, more refined than the lesabre, and gets better gas mileage than the c1500

I've really but thinking about the 1.5lb pulley. I probably won't though jbecause I committed to myself I would build a garage before I modded the STR. We'll see how that goes. I want to use it again as my daily driver and sell the old x300 soon.

I am going to be hatting life while my STR is down when we take the blower off. I have been driving my work car for months after being out of town on projects and its so much fun to run the jag now that I am home!

I just picked up a FRC vett so I can run it while the jags down until the vet becomes to modded to daily drive that is
