Default Motorcraft parts, STR differential question.

Do any of you guys use motorcraft parts on your jag?
My STR specs a lot of Ford fluids so i get my antifreeze, diff fluid, oil filter and soon trans fluid from motorcraft. I hate seeing Ford specs and Jag prices on parts. Plus i figure OEM is better than unknown aftermarket components.
Also, do i need the friction modifier in my diff fluid? I know it is not an LSD so it shouldn't need it, but some oneline sources say jag always uses the modifier even in non LSD diffs.

Thanks.
