My A/C Sucks!!
I have a 2004 S-Type 3.0 and for some reason the A/C is no longer blowing cold air. I went and bought one of those cans that you can use to refill the free-on but my problem is I don't know where the valve is to hook it up. Does anyone know?
If its got a leak, no amount of refill will give you back your cold A/C. Best bet is to suck it up, save a weeks worth of chili's and bennigan's meals, and get to any ol' mechanic who can leak test your system, fix it, then give you a full charge of freon. Anything else is just wasting your dollars and killing our ozone. (unless it's CFC free!) sorry for dismal outlook, but its the sad truth. On the bright side, it shouldn't leak on you again, for at least another summer .
that low side, and yes you can add, and see how fast it goes back down, but you dont have anyway to know if its empty or low and youll either still be under charged or over charged, the system holds 1.8#s when empty. but then again, one of the most common failures on that system is the evap temp sensor in the drivers side of the hvac case. they get outta wack and make the system think theres are problem like evap freezup, or overheating and shuts compressor off, next most common is leakage at the compressor(look for green oil drips on the compressor)

BRUTAL,
That temp sensor sounds like an expensive job as I would assume the whole dash need to come out to get to it. Any thoughts?
