My car docs say 11/02 but vin says 03?
My car documents say one of my jags was registered 11/02 and was built in 2002 but according to my vin its a 2003? Is my car a lemon or can this happen? It was originally sold in england when new then brought to Northern Ireland and then down to the republic of Ireland so im wondering maybe there has been a mix up in paperwork at some point or do you think my car has a shady past?
I dunno know exactly how things are done in your neck o'the woods but here in Amurica build year and legally assigned model year are two different things. It would be common to have cars built in calendar year 2002 (late summer thru end-of-year) carry a 2003 model year VIN.

Jaguar introduce the new Model Year in late August. Your vehicle, registered in November 2002 will have been built in October or November 2002 and will therefore be a 2003 Model Year specification.
