I have the 50 51 error codes and the touch screen is dead. I can pull up a diagnostic menu and all the buttons seem to still register as functional but still no control of the systems. I have the original disc and cannot find a disc with the firmware update as of yet. I was thinking about buying a disc from the dealer and see if that fixes the problem but I have no real need for the navigation maps, I use something else. I am trying to find out which year DVD has the firmware update and if there may he someone interested in the disc when I am done. I will let it go for less than full price to someone who wants it or had the same fault as a bunch of us seem to on here. Or if there is someone willing to send me the disc to see if it can work and I will return it and am willing to pay for the use of it. If you can help me out with whichever year disc I need or are interested in buying it used, please let me know

Try at least 2005. I think that was the one mentioned on the UK forum. It's when it lets you input destination on the move.

 

The 2011/12 disc can be found on Ebay if you're not to fussy about how genuine it is...

Thanks to Bad Cattitude, my touch screen is up and running again. Popped the updated maps disc in and in about three minutes, the screen was working just fine again. Its been kinda crappy with the ac blowing on low out of the defroster only in Florida for the last couple of months.
