Default Navigation issues

I have a 04' S with Nav and once in a while the Nav screen will go black but the radio and everything keeps working. So in other words you can't see anything on the screen. If I turn the car off and turn it back on it is fine. It has only happened a couple times but I'm worried it will go out on me totally. Also had an issue with the Navscreen and the air conditioner. When I would turn up the air the bars on the screen would go up and then immediately go back down on it's own and the air would not blow out cold. When I turned the car off and turned it back on it was fine.I took it in and they said they replaced a sensor or something. I noticed it has done it since then but againonly once in a blue moon. It is not all the time. Anyone had similiar issues?? [&:]

It sounds like a software upgrade.

Mines in the shop right now because of the a/c lockout. It only does it once in a blue moon.

Mines covered under warranty.

If no warranty then I'd imagine it would take 30min for them to do it.
Legit dealer - 50 dollars
Not so legit - 150+++

Sounds like the exact same problem. The service rep started acting like he had no idea what i'm talking about. Then after referencing the TSB he got real serious real fast.

MidGaSTR... I finally got a chance to look at that link you gave me because I'm at work but now I totally get it. Thanks for the information! I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who has had that issue... thought I was losing my mind. Dealer thought I didn't know what I was talking about when I brought it in for the air issue. Now I can show them that info.
